The 14 Major Allergens
UK law requires food businesses to provide allergen information for these 14 substances:
How We Label Allergens
Every Chilled Curry product clearly displays allergen information:
- On packaging: All allergens are listed in BOLD in the ingredients list
- On our website: Each product page shows a full allergen breakdown
- In-store: Allergen information is available at point of purchase
- On request: Contact us for detailed ingredient sourcing information
Example: "Contains: MILK, NUTS (cashews), MUSTARD"
Cross-Contamination Risks
Our kitchen handles multiple allergens and cross-contamination may occur.
We take the following precautions:
- Dedicated preparation areas where possible
- Regular cleaning and sanitization of surfaces and equipment
- Staff training on allergen awareness and safe food handling
- Separate storage for high-risk allergens (nuts, shellfish)
- Clear labeling and color-coded utensils
